So I had a lot, A LOT, of good pictures from yesterday's rally, and I had a lot of trouble narrowing them down. People were just getting so riled up about.... not getting riled up. Here are 30+ of my favorite pictures from the rally:

Walking for Tatas

I'm not sure what I expected from Alexandria's breast cancer walk last weekend, but I was surprised by what a great production it was. It seemed like all of Alexandria was decked out in pink, and up way to early on a Saturday morning to support the cause.

The Most Dangerous Game

Have any of you read The Most Dangerous Game? It's a very old short story where a macho hunter becomes hunted by another man after he washes up his private island.

I saw the tables turn similarly last weekend while enjoying the native wildlife at the U.S. Science Festival.

Tori makes a dash for Anne.

Notice Anne is smiling, perfectly posed for the camera. Eluding Tori is clearly not hard work.

But wait! The hunter and prey have done a complete reversal, and it is now Tori who is running for dear life.

Run little girl, run! Anne's fangs are bared and claws are outstretched.

The final, deadly lunge.

The last few shots were way too graphic to share on the blog. Too much viscera and gore for this early in the morning.

DC Monuments

In answer to last Friday's Flickr Friday on DC monuments, I snapped a few shots when I was on the National Mall over the weekend. I loved the drama and colors of the inspiration pictures on Flickr, and don't think I captured that feeling in these pictures. They're nice, but they're not amazing, ya know?
