Photoshop trickery

I have to confess that I love photoshop. Ever since Graphic Design 101 my senior year in high school, I've loved being able to edit pictures. I've put my photoshop skills to use not only on group projects at AIA, but also at work, and now in my photography endeavor.

Usually I post SOOC - Straight-out-of-the-Camera - pictures. Because I'm too lazy to edit each and every picture I upload to flickr and this blog. But with the Capitol picture I posted yesterday, I knew that this cool picture could look alot more dramatic.


Some people out there would call this image over-processed. But theatrical pictures call out to me - this one screams "Independence Day" - like some UFO is about to burst from that break in the clouds and annihilate the Capitol.
